Common questions
Does SortGlass delete my photos?
Only when you confirm. Swiping up adds a photo to SortGlass Trash, which is just a queue. When you choose Delete in Trash, your device asks you to confirm, and confirmed items move to Recently Deleted in Apple Photos, where Apple generally keeps them for up to 30 days unless you delete them sooner.
How do I get back a photo I deleted?
Open the Photos app, go to Recently Deleted, select the photo and choose Recover. Items stay there for a limited time, generally up to 30 days, unless they were deleted from there sooner.
SortGlass can’t see some of my photos.
Open More → Privacy & Photos Access to review access, or check Privacy & Security → Photos in your device’s Settings (System Settings on Mac). With limited access, SortGlass can only show the photos you selected. Photos stored only in iCloud may need to download when you open them.
Does it work with iCloud Photos?
Yes. SortGlass works directly on your Apple Photos library, so favorites, albums, ratings on supported systems, and confirmed deletions sync through iCloud Photos according to your settings. SortGlass also offers separate optional settings sync in More → iCloud Sync.
How do I keep SortGlass settings in sync?
Update SortGlass on each device and sign in to the same Apple Account. In More → iCloud Sync, turn on the categories you want on each device: appearance, pinned albums and order, goals, achievements, history, and keyboard shortcuts. Photo search details have their own optional sync setting in More → Photo Search Index. Your Organize position and SortGlass Trash queue stay on each device.
Why doesn’t a camera or lens search find every photo?
Search uses the details available in your files, and some photos and videos don’t include camera or lens information. Check progress in More → Photo Search Index. The optional Index with iCloud Photos scan can read missing details by downloading original photos; this can use storage, data and battery. It does not download videos.
What does the free version include?
Up to 100 Trash and Album actions each week, with the count starting again every Monday at 00:00 UTC. Favorites, Browse, and Undo are always included. SortGlass Pro unlocks unlimited organizing, ratings on supported systems, combined and saved filters, and every theme and icon. See the app’s purchase screen for current prices and offers.
How do I restore Pro on a new device?
Open More → SortGlass Pro → Restore Purchases while signed in with the Apple Account you used to buy Pro.
How do I cancel a subscription?
On iPhone or iPad, go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions, then choose SortGlass Pro. On Mac, open your account in the App Store and choose Subscriptions. See Apple’s cancellation instructions. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel a subscription.
How do I ask for a refund?
Apple handles payments and refunds for App Store purchases. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
How do I redeem an offer code?
In SortGlass, open More → Redeem Code. On iPhone or iPad, you can also open the App Store, tap your account picture, then choose Redeem Gift Card or Code.
What do I need to use it?
SortGlass 1.1 supports iPhone with iOS 18 or later, iPad with iPadOS 18 or later, and Mac with macOS 15 or later and an Apple M1 chip or later. The Mac app is Designed for iPad. Star ratings require SortGlass Pro and a supported system; on iPhone and iPad, that means iOS 27 or iPadOS 27 or later. Liquid Glass appears on supported systems, including iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 or later.
